Humanity for Change partnered with Waves for Water and Fayye Foundation to help change the lives of some very desperate people in Southern Ethiopia. HFC’s sole purpose is to deliver aid wherever and whenever it is needed by partnering with and supporting like-minded organizations. HFC does not fund raise but instead operates as an NGO and finances its missions solely from profits of August Fiorin Inc & B&R Moving Inc. Two companies devoted to making significant and lasting changes in the service of the betterment of Humanity.
Sister Donna Francis has built a refuge called Heartland in Argisa, Ethiopia, where young girls who’ve been orphaned are sheltered and educated. There is plenty of ground water in the area and the filtration systems we delivered will be used to filter out deadly bacteria and viruses that repeatedly make these girls sick, if not worse. The power of the filtration system can remove down to 0.1 Micron Absolute of bacteria and disease. These girls are at very high risk for any of the following on a daily basis: Cholera, Botulism, Typhoid, Amoebic Dysentery, E.Coli, Coliform Bacteria, Streptococcus, Salmonella, Giardia, Cryptosporidium and Cyclospora — the nastiest waterborne diseases on earth— a reality that’s been likened to kids playing Russian Roulette every single day. A frightening and incredibly sad reality.
Jack Rose of Waves for Water, Jamie Lynne Grumet of Fayye Foundation, and Cyia Batten & Anthony Fiorin of August Fiorin and Humanity for Change co-hosted a very intimate event at Meals by Genet in Los Angeles to describe the mission upon which we endeavored. The job is not done and these orphans continue to need our involvement. Humanity for Change is steadfast in its commitment to help provide these children with clean water.
